Website design, packages and process
These answers cover the questions business owners most often ask before starting a custom website project with A WALD STUDIO.
What kind of websites does A WALD STUDIO design?
A WALD STUDIO designs bespoke websites and connected digital systems for hospitality, accommodation, restaurants, venues, tourism, product and e-commerce businesses. Every visual direction is created around the business rather than reused from a template.
How much does a professional website cost in South Africa?
The cost depends on the number of pages, content, search requirements and operational systems such as bookings or payments. A WALD STUDIO offers three regional fixed-price pathways and bespoke scopes for more complex projects.
How long does a website take to design and launch?
A focused website project commonly takes several weeks from discovery to launch. The exact timeline depends on the scope, how quickly content is supplied and whether third-party booking, payment or catalogue systems must be connected.
Does A WALD STUDIO include SEO?
The Presence focuses on the design and build foundation. The Signature introduces foundational search optimisation. The Landmark includes monitored SEO, deeper discovery work and broader business systems. No ethical studio can guarantee a number-one ranking, but the technical and content foundations can be built properly.
Can you handle the domain, hosting, SSL and business email?
Yes. Depending on the package, A WALD STUDIO can configure the domain, hosting, SSL certificate and professional email, then provide a clear handover.
Can you connect bookings and online payments?
Yes. Booking, enquiry, deposit, payment and catalogue journeys can be integrated where they fit the business. Third-party provider fees and platform limitations remain separate from the studio fee.
Will the website work on mobile and tablet?
Yes. Desktop, tablet and mobile are composed and tested individually rather than treated as a simple shrink-down of one layout.
Who founded A WALD STUDIO?
A WALD STUDIO was founded by South African web designer and studio owner Nathan Groenewald. He leads the studio direction, client process and development of its premium digital experiences.
Do clients need to supply their own photographs and copy?
Clients normally supply their logo, accurate business information, preferred contact details and available photography. The studio can improve supplied photographs and help shape or refine website copy as part of the agreed scope.
Do you build websites for businesses outside South Africa?
Yes. The studio is based in South Africa and can work remotely with suitable businesses in other regions through scheduled online consultations and a structured review process.
Can a website be updated after launch?
Yes. The site can be refined, expanded or supported through Studio Continuity. The appropriate approach depends on how frequently the business needs to update content, pricing or systems.
What happens during the three consultations?
The first consultation defines the business and visual direction. The second reviews the initial direction and collects final materials and refinements. The third presents the completed experience, resolves reasonable final changes and prepares the launch and handover.
Do you use website templates?
No. A WALD STUDIO may use proven technical patterns where appropriate, but the visual direction, content hierarchy and customer journey are shaped specifically for each business.
Can you redesign an existing website?
Yes. An existing website can be reviewed and rebuilt when its visual quality, mobile experience, search structure or conversion journey no longer represents the business properly.
